DEATH-PLACE-SOURCE: St-Joseph-de-la-Pointe, Levis, PQ, He was 65 yearsold at
his death. Source: Dictionnaire Genealogique des Familles Canadiens",1871, by
Cyprien Tanguay.

COMMENT: Like his father before him, he had the title; Louis-JosephLambert,
sieur de Sainte-Marie. Of his 19 children only three married. Most
of the others died at early ages.

MILITARY-SOURCE: He was a commander and Colonely of the Cote du
Sud. In 1734 he was the first captain from the parish of Saine-Joseph deLevis
in the royal domain of Lauzon and commander of the Rive du sud, which wasover
the whole territory under the jurisdiction of the Government of Quebec.
