COMMENT-BIRTH-LANDGRANT-DEATH-MARRIAGE-BURIAL: From Joanne Meade'sRecords;
Born in Scotland in 1587. He arrived on the sailboat LeSallemandie
at Tadoussac on 30 AUG 1620. He received a consession of ground thatformed the
plateau the Wolf and Montcalm fought, Plains of Abraham. It is said thathis
father was devoted to the cause of Mary Queen of Scotts. He was involvedin a
plot to free her from the English. The plot failed and he had to flee to
France. He was said to be 75 years at his death.

Came to Canada during the summer of 1635 with wife Anne Convent and sons
John and Mathieu. Philippe died three years after the birth of his sonCharles
in 1636. He spent only four years in New France. The area he was from
(Picardy), is now port of (Ainse) district in France.

COMMENT: Reginald Olivier, "Your Ancient Canadian Family Ties", Page 3.He
arrived in New France in the year 1627 with his wife, Anne Convent.

MARRIAGE-CONFLICT: Cyprien Tanguay, "Dictionnaire Genealogique desFamilles
Canadiennes", publ. 1890. Vol. 1, Page 6. Marriage date is recorded asbeing in
1627 rather than the 1625 found in Jette.
