He was from Notre-Dame-du-Mont, of Berneuil, ar. et ev. Saintes,Saintonge,
(Charente-Maritime), France. He answered that he was 40 years old in 1666,
and 44 in 1667, and 60 in 1681, living at Lauzon and working as a joineror
carpenter. He arrived in September 1646 and was in the service of theJesuits
in their work with the Hurons.
