merchant of Tourouvre, FR n the 16th Century. His second wife was thegrand
daughter of Nicolas Pineau. She was the daughter of Jehan Pineau (Lord of
Launay) and Loyse Clousier. He was from Perche (now Orne). He was one ofthe
earliest to arrive in Quebec at 1634. He was a fur trader at LaFerte-Vidame.

Quebec in 1634. He was recorded in 1667 as living in Quebec. He was a
fur trader by occupation at La Ferte-Vidame. Assistant General for the
State of New France on February 1647. He was also the agent for
Cap-Rouge, the eldest son of his brother Noel on 1/15/1636. Rene Jette'sbook
lists his name as "Jean Juchereau, sieur de Maure". Lord de More.
